Founding Partner
Elias J. (E.J.) Saad is the founding partner of the E.J. Saad Law Firm. He graduated in 1978 from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, where he was a member of the Cumberland Law Review and served as managing editor.
In 1979, Saad was a law clerk to Alabama Supreme Court Associate Justice Janie L. Shores before entering private practice. He has practiced in state and federal courts throughout Alabama and in venues across the country.
Saad was a partner at Crosby, Saad & Beebe, PC, which was national counsel for Owens Corning Fiberglass in the defense of asbestos claims. The E.J. Saad Law Firm represents businesses in various legal matters in both litigation and arbitration. The firm also represented businesses in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, and Louisiana during the BP oil spill litigation and settlement.
Saad and his firm represent businesses, nonprofits, colleges, and religious institutions in Employee Retention Credit (ERC) tax matters.

Matthew Andrews is a partner and business litigation attorney with the E.J. Saad Law Firm.
Andrews earned his Juris Doctor from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law and his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business. He has represented businesses in litigation and arbitration, securing successful jury verdicts, arbitration awards, and settlements.
His practice shifted to representing businesses in the BP oil spill litigation and settlement, where he was the lead partner for case evaluations and appeals. Recently, Andrews has been instrumental in the firm’s Employee Retention Credit (ERC) work, implementing a comprehensive program to manage the administrative, legal, and accounting evaluations for businesses seeking ERC compensation.

Jamie Ferguson Lee

Jamie Ferguson Lee

Jamie Ferguson Lee brings two decades of courtroom experience in Mississippi and Louisiana to the E.J. Saad Law Firm, where she has handled complex constitutional law claims. Lee also is an accomplished appellate attorney, having successfully argued cases before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Lee graduated in 1997 from the University of Mississippi with dual degrees in theater and journalism. After graduation, she worked as a journalist and news anchor at television stations in Greenville and Columbus, Mississippi. In 2002, she returned to Oxford to attend law school, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2005.
During law school, Lee won the Mississippi Moot Court Competition in 2005, secured a spot on the school’s National Moot Court Team, and advanced to the semifinals of the National Moot Court Competition.
Lee’s practice has focused on defending school districts and other governmental entities, including sheriff’s deputies and police officers, against constitutional law claims. She also has served as in-house counsel for multiple governmental entities and is licensed to practice in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Megan P. Leslie

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in management and finance with a minor in marketing from the Sam M. Walton College of Business, Megan P. Leslie attended the University of Arkansas School of Law.
Leslie completed an externship with the Honorable Ben T. Barry, chief judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas. While serving as a Rule XV student attorney in her university’s Federal Practice Clinic, she represented low-income clients in Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases.
Leslie graduated from law school in 2018, passed the Arkansas bar exam, and is licensed to practice in Arkansas and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas. Since then, she has helped clients navigate various legal matters, including tax issues, bankruptcy, estate planning, domestic relations, and business transactions.

Isary “Izzy” Tamayo is a senior attorney with the E.J. Saad Law Firm, specializing in helping employers nationwide navigate the complex process of claiming the Employee Retention Credit (ERC).
Tamayo holds a Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law, where she distinguished herself as a member of the Moot Court team. She also earned a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University College of Business.

Courtney Coleman

Courtney Coleman is the accounting manager at the Daphne, Alabama, office of the E.J. Saad Law Firm. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in accounting from the University of South Alabama.
Coleman previously managed the Development and Alumni Relations gift administration department at the University of South Alabama, where she received the Christie Miree USA National Alumni Association Outstanding Employee Award in 2012.
She also has extensive experience with the City of Daphne, where she began as an accountant and payroll specialist in the Finance and Accounting Department. She was later promoted to revenue officer, administering local and state ordinances regarding sales and use taxes and business licensing within city limits.
At the E. J. Saad Law Firm, Coleman has played a key role in developing internal procedures that help staff efficiently determine an employer’s eligible wages for the Employee Retention Credit (ERC).
